Jet Li, America’s Disappointment.

I saw “Huo Yuan Jia” last night and cannot possibly think what must have went through Jet Li’s mind.

Admittedly, he sought to show appreciation and respect for not only China, but Wushu.

However, in that same moment he left a crowd full of stadium sitting onlookers (um… there were five people total: myself; two associates; and two others), trying their best to read blurbs of poignant English lost amongst their sadness; triumph; and then finding one’s self.

Oh, I will probably own it whence it comes out on DVD.  Only because, possibly, I will be able to turn off the Mandarin they are speaking so I can at least focus on the severity of the emotions displayed by viewing the movie, instead of its subtitles.

Message to Jet Li:

This should not be your last movie.  China is mightily proud…

…America however is leaning back in their rocking chair hocking loogies of pure tobacco juice thinking, “Damn that Chinese and his fast legs.”
