Blogging is Overrated.

That has to be it.  Otherwise I am just a sorry excuse for a blogger.

I mean seriously, unless you have monumental shite happening to you every single day I cannot possibly grasp how I can post one every few days let alone everyday.

OK, I’ll admit it, I suck at blogging… and blogging is overrated.

Word.

    Word up, homeboy.

Things happen to us every day. It’s not hard to maintain a daily blog; just write about the random stuff that happens, even if it’s entirely non-notable and no person in the world (including yourself) could care less that it happened. Too many blogs are like this, which makes them end up getting read by no one beyond the blogger’s tiny clique of friends.

Blogging is a very useful tool if you use it as a style of journalism. Say you’re involved with the field of environmentalism. You could then create a blog on this topic, and use the blog to call attention to related events and news.

Neither of the preceding paragraphs is relevant for me. I have no interest in documenting every detail of my life. Besides, I have no friends, so even if I documented random stuff that happened (I ATE CHEESE TODAY! OH WOW!!!), nobody would read it, so what would be the point? As for stuff that I’m involved in, it’s true that I have many interests, but most of them are not subject to frequent news updates (how often does the Commodore 64 field get regular updates anymore?), so my interests are better suited to a static website than a blog format.

I suspect much the same is true for you. Hence, the lack of regular updates about you eating cheese.

So, yeah, blogging sucks. Word 2 ya printer.
