Wow. That is all I can think of to say when viewing the trailers for “300.”
Check it out either at the movie’s website or Apple.com’s trailer 1 and trailer 2.

“This is blasphemy! This is madness!”
“Madness? This is Sparta!”

Everywhere I look I see, “So and so is gay!” and “Did you know so and so is a homosexual?”
What in the hell is going on? Why is everyone all of a sudden so adamant about talking about someone’s gayness?
I was perusing the IMDB boards and right off the bat there is talk about Neil Patrick Harris, David Hyde Pierce, Anthony Clark and Sir Ian McKellen. All of which is concerning their sexual orientation, not how well they act.
Now granted, I am astonished that some of these men are gay.
Do I care that they are gay? Only enough to write this post.
I find it oddly coincidental that I am currently taking a “social problems” elective and we discussed gay marriage as a social problem.
I was one of the few who discussed that homosexual and lesbian marriages were indeed *not* a social problem. The actual problem that exists is all of the white-bread, anal retentive bastards that frown upon anything other than missionary straight sex with a hirsute beast of a woman.
Bah. Let homos be homos, the rest are fags anyway.

They may not be Narnia reincarnated, but there sure are some similiarities between the new “Pan’s Labyrinth“…

…and “Bridge to Terabithia“…

Both of which look like immensely imaginative and wildly creative movies.
I hope to see yet another fantastical movie I can add to the collection. The likes of which I haven’t seen since “Legend” or maybe even “Lord of the Rings“.
Ah, who am I kidding? “Labyrinth” was better than “Lord of the Rings“.

Alright, I simply threw this together like… three minutes ago just to satisfy a bit of poetic drivel.
I will surely come up with something better in the (near?) future.
So, here you have it, “Memoirs of an Asshole.”
I may not be able to catch you if you fall,
I might not even be there when you call.
I most likely can’t hear you if you scream,
The closest I might come is in a dream.
I am not even sure if I care,
I won’t come running, not here, nor there.
It isn’t my job to check on you and make sure you’re safe,
Whether you are ill, hurt, dying, struggling, elderly or a waif.
If you haven’t noticed by now, I really can’t be bothered,
You’re not my problem, nor my concern, nor by me were you fathered.
Anyway, to cut this somewhat short and definitely bittersweet,
You can kiss my arse, or you can lick my stinky, sweaty feet.

Sadly my birthday was stricken with illness. My darling 11 month old infant, only 22 days shy of her birthday now, is taken with bronchitis and as told to us is now anemic.
You wouldn’t know it to see her on an average day.
Well, with a bit of medicine and antibiotics we are all doing much better.
I should have something for you lads and lasses in a few days.
Thanks to those who e-mailed.
Be well in this new year.
