If there is something “bonked” on the web, normally I run into it.
This time searching for “minidv player” resulted in “Tepito 50-Pack, 1.4 GB, 30 Minutes, 4X Mini DVD-R”.
Seriously, check it out yourself.
Also, if anyone happens to run across any method of importing your MiniDVs to a machine (PC, Linux PC, Apple, I don’t care) without having to use a digital video device as the transport from device.
Basically, does something like a card reader (Secure Digital, MMC, Compact Flash, Micro SD, et cetera) exist for a MiniDV tape?
And no… I do *NOT* want to see a deck, unless of course it is under the $300 range.
As happy as a Sony GV-D1000 would make me, I simply do not have a desire for so costly a toy, only to use it as the means to get my video from there to a machine.
The entire purpose of this want, is to save my itty-bitty camera’s motor from burning out on me. It would be cheaper (and more logical) to just purchase another digital video camera.

…I thought she was a goner, but she wouldn’t stay away.
OK, it was not *exactly* the very next day, but close enough.
No, seriously! Like always, I forget to blog about things when they actually happen.
My wife and I actually sat on the phone for hours the very night of the day she left. Within two (maybe three) days she thought she had made the wrong choice (leaving that is).
Needless to say my wife and children (all my ladies in the house) have spent the night here 18 days out of 24 gone. I know, it cracks me up too.
Later on today in fact we plan on going house shopping. I’ll ditch my current domicile, she’ll abandon the apartment she rented (and regretted) and we’ll find a much nicer, larger home.
It’s amazing the things you argue about when you are married with children, sharing a home, a life, hell, everything.
My wife made some mistakes, some poor choices. If I were to sit here and tell you that I was a perfect gentleman enacting only the most logical of choices, I would not only be a liar, but I would be a fool for not admitting it takes two.
And um… well, that’s about that.

Yeah, well, I got nothing.
So in due fashion here is a random link that I visited within the last day or so.
JSON
This is the most perfectly defined data-interchange format, at least in my opinion and for what I currently employ its use for.
Well, that’s all folks!
(I am adding this to (the category) JavaScript as well. Oh no! Now you know my preferred interface for the exchange of well-formed JSON data!)

I was doing a little investigation into the “hacky sack,” mainly because I want to buy a new one.
For those die hard hacky sackers out there, no, I do not want to “sew my own.”
Anyway, I visited Wikipedia and eventually found this video of a circle kick variant. Basically, some hacky-ists freestyle hacking.
Java Ogg Vorbis player, showing people Hacking the Sack
(If you already have an Ogg Vorbis capable media player, grab the OGG.)
Now, what do you notice right off the bat? All three White guys hack the shite out of the footbag, but when it gets to the Black guy, it is evident he was ill prepared to play the game.
I just find this terribly funny. I guess because I can hack. Word.

Yeah, sure did. Apparently being the biggest possible asshole you can be is *not* a way to insure a long-lasting marriage.
No one told me!
She actually left Saturday, the 31st of March.
Believe it or not, for a time on April 1st, I kept thinking I was going to hear a knock on the door. Pfft. Seems my wife does not abide by the spirit of April Fool’s.
I also thought about leaving this information off the blog. Then I figured why the hell not include it? Is this not the point of a meaningless web existence?
