Ripoff: Charmed
Yet another reason for me to hate Charmed. Although I am trying my best to like it since my wife is forcing me to rent all 8 seasons from Netflix.
Anyway…
In the episode “Primrose Empath,” it is *very* evident that the final fight in the end was a direct copy of Neo’s encounter with Agent Smith at the end of The Matrix.
Everything from the Matrix-esque running horizontally across walls, ala Trinity in the scene with the cops in the beginning, to the one-armed fending off of Agent Smith once Neo realized he was The One.
Of course, the finale to the ripoff was Prue leaping into the demon Vinceres and then flexing her newly acquired empathic Matrix power, inevitably ripping the demon apart as Agent Smith was done by Neo.
Of course I may not have been so excited to post this had my wife not sworn up and down that The Matrix ripped it off of Charmed.
