But what bugs me most about this is the fact his Web site STILL doesn’t have anything on it about the death of his daughter.
Considering the dumb bastard has been jailed for failure to pay child support, I’m not surprised that nothing about the loss of his daughter has made it to his site that promotes his music. Does you make wonder though doesn’t it?
“Hrrmm… my album only made me $25,000,000 this year — guess I’ll skip the child support!”
Well, to the little 4 year old angel, Jelani — RIP.
I actually just found out about this lyrical and musical genius today. I saw a preview of his song “Beautiful Girls” on MTV. Check it out here.
Update: Ooo, I thought this player obfuscated the link to the source MP3, but it doesn’t. So… sorry, this audio won’t work for now.
Update: OK, I re-encoded the MP3 to 32 kbps. The file is basically *crap*, so hopefully this will keep me out of hot water since this newly encoded copy is still “downloadable.”
I seem to *always* run across sites that have one of those “now playing…” or “now listening to…” blurbs where it displays what music the blogger is currently listening to.
Can I find one now that I want one? No. So I am left to do it manually.
Damn. You mean to tell me I have to type one whole additional sentence on top of this post? That is outrageous.
So… I am listening to Plus 44’s “Make You Smile.”
This. song. is. phat.
UPDATE: I just found WP Audioscrobbler. It isn’t exactly what I had in mind though. I wanted something more along the lines of when I run WinAmp, it spits some information at a script and presto!
For the longest time now, I seem to have a recurring problem with certain music.
For example, “Feel The Rain On Your Skin.” I was sooo sure that it was Hanson singing that I could not bring myself to listen to it long, despite the fact I love the song.
Well, I broke down a few minutes ago and searched for the lyrics only to find out it was Natasha Bedingfield. Oops!
Why am I plagued by such oddities? I have no clue. I do however know that it began with “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” by AC/DC.
I remember running around singing “30 Thieves and the Thunder Chief!” Oh yeah, I thought I was particularly clever and didn’t care that I was a little non-Caucasian boy jamming to an Australian rock band.
Then one of my rocker friends burst my wee little Aussie rock bubble. It was “dirty deeds done dirt cheap.” All this time I thought I was a cool little rocker, I was actually a moronic little rocker.
Ah well. Rock is inside you, right!? Erm… yeah. Right.
